Freckle Mini Jug I is the vessel for mixing your matcha powder with warm water. A fun replacement for the typical chawan vessel. An addition to your morning ceremony. Wheel-thrown using the ancient Japanese technique of neriage.  Measures approximately 10 cm tall x 8 cm wide, and holds about 300 ml. Measurements may vary slightly as it is a handmade item.

 

This cup is made of two clay bodies that have been thrown together, creating that mesmerising, marble effect. In addition, both have iron particles, which after the second firing, melt and appear as brown stains. Hence the name: Freckle. Each pattern is a unique imprint in time and clay! Giving no opportunity to repeat itself. Glazed on the inside, left bare on the outside. One of a kind vessel to start your days with peace and intention.
